Oak Trees in a Storm:

Foundations in Generative Conflict

Generative: to open to creative possibilities; to give birth to something new

What is Oak Trees in a Storm?

Oak Trees in a Storm: Foundations in Generative Conflict is a learning and practice series that supports organizations to navigate tension and conflict in a healthy and generative way. Oak Trees in a Storm will build participants’ knowledge and skills to move beyond conflict avoidance and remain rooted and resilient in the face of any storm, just like a great oak tree. This series can be held organization-wide or for specific teams or committees within your organization.

Is Oak Trees In a STorm a fit for my organization?

Oak Trees in a Storm is a great fit for any organization that wants to move toward healthy conflict. Oak Trees in a Storm is designed based on the premise that conflict is a normal part of an organization’s experience. Learning to harness the power of skillful disagreement and generative conflict is key to sustaining powerful and successful organizations.

“Having both the language and shared understanding of generative conflict, principled struggle, and escalation improved my capacity personally and the capacity of the team to move through conflict together.”

— Oak Trees in a Storm Participant
